Day 19: Family to the rescue.

We had four hours until Mimi and Aunt Donna arrived in Bandon and only six short miles to go, talk about a tough day.  In order to make the most of our short time with our visitors we decided to make a laundry stop in Bandon and clean up as much as possible.  This visit couldn't have come at a better time for us for a variety of reasons.  Physically we needed a break but more than that I had been nursing a slow leak and our pump had just given out two days earlier.  Our laundry done, we were about to ride the final mile to the hotel that Aunt Donna had generously provided but the leak progressed and the tire was flat.  Undeterred, we started walking.  Not a moment to soon, Mimi and Donna pulled up and dished out some hugs and the pump that would get us to the hotel.  We quickly learned a little about Jet's allegiance as he bailed on us and jumped into Donna's car and rode in luxury.  After settling in and catching up for a bit we all headed to the beach to soak in the sun and scenery.  Once on the beach, Mimi and Donna played like a couple of young kids.  Climbing rocks, popping seaweed and searching for interesting things washed-up by the surf.  We had a blast and as usual Jet ran his little heart out.  Tuckered out and hungry, we all headed out for some grub at the nearest restaurant.  I had no idea how much Mimi loved salmon as she ate it at all the meals we had together, when in Rome I guess. Stuffed, we all headed to the room for rest and more catching up.
Mimi, Matt, and Donna.

Thanks for everything Mimi and Aunt Donna!
