Over the River & Through the Woods

As D-day approaches things are starting to come together.  Sight seeing side trips not withstanding, our route is composed of a mishmash of the Pacific Coast, Washington Parks, and possibly the Sierra Cascade routes, produced by the Adventure Cycling Association. It is amazing to think of the things we will see as we ride across our beautiful county.  Rain forests, waterfalls, redwoods, endless coastlines and everything in between.  We are set to leave August 12, 2013 and can't wait!  To view our route please click on the selections below.

Canada to Oregon
Starting in metropolitan Vancouver, Canada, we will be heading south into scenic Washington State along the ruggedly inspiring Puget Sound and along the Strait of Juan de Fuca as we traverse the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park.  Leaving the Pacific coast we will head into the heart of timber country of south western Washington as we approach the mighty Columbia River and Oregon.

Oregon to San Fran
Once in Oregon, we will stick to the coast and eat as much fresh seafood as possible.  Once in California, we will towered over by massive redwoods until crossing over the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco.

After that it will be all boardwalks and muscle beaches as we head into the more urban setting that is southern California.
