Day 6: Blue Skies

When checking in with family, our nieces and nephews in Texas always ask how "Jet-Jet" is doing.  Never mind their favorite Aunt and Uncle who are cycling along the Pacific Coast while Jet sits like a king in his chariot! Nooo, they just want to know how their favorite little dog is doing.  So here is the update on "Jet-Jet."  Jet has mixed feelings about this trip as I often do.  At times he seems like he wouldn't want to be any other place in the world and other times he looks at us like he just wants to be back in his bed in Texas doing nothing.  He only whines when I am in front of Matt (which doesn't happen often) or when we are stopped for too long.  Other than that he is good and miss you all.... We left Kitsap Memorial  State Park and headed south to Twanoh State Park. We slept better and felt like a million bucks.  We were able to knock out most of the day in less than 2 hours.  The roads are either getting flatter or we are getting faster. Whatever it may be we had enough time to stop and have lunch at Seabeck Pizza.  Our Greek Sub was mouthwatering, go back for thirds good. While sitting their we had the honor of meeting some veteran cyclist, Bill and Bob, who shared some useful knowledge and great stories.  After learning some useful tips we said our goodbyes and set off to Twonah State Park.  We arrived at Twonah State Park to find out that our campsite would be on the beach.  A win, win for us both.  Matt loves to fish and the sound of the water would end up rocking me to sleep. We set up camp, ate a great mango and relaxed as the sun set over Hood Canal.  All in all blue skies and smooth sailing.

Kitsap Bill and Twanoh Bob,  thanks for everything. We hope our paths cross in California

Our last stop along the beautiful Puget Sound.

Jet exhausted after a hard days ride.

Matt gets his fishing in when he can.

Our campsite right on Hood Canal.
